The machining of glass and hybrid ceramics often requires a high load capacity of the tool under difficult conditions. A stable machining situation and sufficient cooling are relevant to the process in order to protect the diamond coating of the mounted point and at the same time achieve high stock removal rates and optimum fitting accuracy.

Depending on the desired result, the diamond grit sizes can be varied. For example, different diamond sizes are used for roughing and finishing. The use of a new solid carbide base body also helps to improve process reliability. A more stable tension, less deflection and better concentricity ensure an optimum work flow.

The GBDIA coating and the solid carbide base body can be used on all common machines. If required, we also manufacture special grinding pins. Please feel free to contact us for this!
